Book’n It 2016
The members of the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation would like to once again thank all of our sponsors, volunteers, participants, and fans for coming out to support the 2016 Book’n It Run for Literacy. In particular, we’d like to thank Tortoise and the Hare for their race timing service, Mayor Paul Esser, volunteers from the Sun Prairie Fire Department, Sun Prairie EMS and Police departments, our mascots and face painters, and those that provided water stations. Finally, the Foundation Board would like to acknowledge the hard work and countless hours put in by our 2016 Book’n It Chair, Nicole Waerzeggers. We couldn’t have done it without your leadership!
We continue to be inspired by the number of people who turn out to support the continued growth of our community’s library. Because we rely so heavily on the efforts of volunteers to help us put on the run, accidents happen. This year a number of our runners were misdirected on the course, affecting the accuracy of the runners’ results. This is not a reflection of the work of our race timing company, but rather a miscommunication between volunteers that was corrected as soon as it was discovered. We sincerely apologize to all our runners. Please know that we try as hard as possible to get it right every year, and then try even harder to learn from our mistakes.
Thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you all in 2017!
